Portfolio Management

The portfolio managers at FVCM see sustainable investment success as the result of identifying successful companies. Companies that are characterized by outstanding management achieve sustainable growth over time and generate the necessary cash flow to remunerate their shareholders. Therefore, FVCM does not look for short-term speculation and does not chase fads without a fundamental basis. The portfolio managers use a variety of different valuation methods to acquire solid company stocks at favorable prices. Risk is actively managed through well-considered diversification, among other things.

FVCM Investment Strategies

FVCM offers customized asset management solutions using U.S. traded equities, fixed income and other short-term and liquid securities. Strategies are tailored to the personal needs of our international clients and consider the related tax implications of their FVCM-managed portfolios.

FVCM’s core equity investment strategy is based on a value-oriented approach known as Growth at a Reasonable Price (GARP) which has been successfully employed since 1992*. Individual clients can choose concentrated strategies that address special objectives such as high-dividend strategies, or a strategy focus on investments in AI and technology.

In addition to individually managed accounts at our U.S. custodian RBC, clients have the option to invest in FVCM’s Luxembourg-based mutual fund (restrictions apply based on residency status). This FVCM fund is invested according to the same investment process as the firm’s successful Strategic U.S. Equity Portfolio.

* The strategy known as the Strategic Equity Portfolio (SEP) was first implemented while
the portfolio manager was employed at a predecessor firm prior to the founding of FVCM in
March 2008.
